Annual Conference 2012 Saturday, 28th January 10:00 - 4:00 pm
Messengers, Watchmen & Stewards

‘I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house, testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance towards God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ’ Acts 20:20-21 (ESV)
Over many years Phillip Jensen has proven to be a loyal friend and a true gospel partner to the churches of the SEGP. At this year's conference he will help us explore what it means for our churches to develop ministries that are effective both in building up the body and in reaching the lost. His own decades of experience in church leadership are founded in a deep and radical commitment to Biblical ministry. This, combined with his incisive analysis of our culture and our churches, promises to make the 2012 conference one not to be missed!
Phillip Jensen's varied ministry continues to have a lasting impact on countless individuals and through major organisations in Australia and worldwide. in 1978 he was appointed Rector of St Matthias, Centennial Park, Sydney and he also wrote the gospel outline Two Ways to Live. Phillip has pioneered many vibrant ministries in the areas of training (Ministry Training Strategy), university student work, church planting and publishing of Christian resources (Matthias Media). In England, Phillip was particularly used by God in the early days of the establishment of the Evangelical Ministers Assembly and the Proclamation Trust. In 2003 Phillip became the Dean at St Andrew's Cathedral and Director of the Sydney Diocesan Ministry Training and Development (MT&D). At the cathedral he is developing a thriving city centre church and planting congregations. As Director of MT&D, Phillip continues to lead on-going training for ministers. Phillip is married to Helen. They currently live in Sydney and have three adult children and ten grandchildren.
This is an important day for leadership teams - both pastors and elders/church council members. Please join us for what we hope will be a significant day for building up the church to the glory of God.
